  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Is 48V the right choice for long LED strip runs to minimise voltage drop?

A 48V supply has a lower operating current for the same wattage compared to 12V or 24V, which reduces resistive voltage drop along the cable feeding the strip. The LPV-100-48 delivers 100.8W at only 2.1A, so cable losses are smaller — though you still need LED strip or modules specifically rated for 48V input.

How many meters of 48V LED strip can the LPV-100-48 drive?

With 100.8W at 48V available, divide by your strip's wattage per meter — a 48V strip at 10 W/m supports roughly 10 meters, and at 14.4 W/m about 7 meters. Always check the rated power per meter on your specific 48V strip before sizing the run.

Can the LPV-100-48 be used outdoors in rain-exposed locations?

The LPV-100-48 is fully encapsulated to IP67, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against temporary water immersion. Mean Well rates it for indoor use or outdoor use without direct sunlight exposure, so outdoor installations should be shaded from the sun, and the waterproof installation cautions in Mean Well's user manual should be followed before use.

What input voltage range does the LPV-100-48 accept?

The LPV-100-48 accepts 90–264 VAC, covering standard 120V North American and 230V European mains without any adjustment.
