HEP-320-36A is the 36V output model of this series: rated current 8.9A, rated power 320.4W, typical efficiency 94%.

HEP-320 is a 320W industrial AC/DC power supply featuring the outstanding capability to operate under a harsh environment with high dust density, humidity, vibration and altitude. The entire series is housed with a robust aluminum case and fully potted with heat-conducted silicone. Thanks to state-of-the-art design, the working efficiency is up to 95%, enabling HEP-320, with a fanless design, perfectly work between -55℃ and +70℃ under free air convection.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  4. 4. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the static characteristics for more details.

Can I use the HEP-320-36A for 36V control systems in factory automation?

Yes, this unit provides constant 36V output up to 8.9A and 320.4W for automation equipment designed around 36VDC. On this A-Type the output voltage can be adjusted from 32 to 39V through an internal potentiometer. The 90-264VAC input range (277VAC operational) is also useful in multi-region or mixed-facility deployments.

Is the HEP-320-36A a good fit for 36V embedded devices or industrial electronics cabinets?

It can be a fit for 36V embedded and control electronics that stay within 320.4W and 8.9A. The fanless design helps in enclosed spaces where dust buildup or fan maintenance is undesirable. Its safety approvals include UL62368-1, IEC62368-1, and EAC TP TC 004.

Can this power supply be used in harsh automation environments with shock or vibration?

It is intended for harsher environments, with an IP65 rating and 10G vibration resistance. That makes it more appropriate for industrial equipment housings and machinery-adjacent applications than a basic bench or indoor-only supply. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +70°C.

Is the HEP-320-36A meant for indoor or outdoor environments?

The HEP-320-36A carries an IP65 water-resistant rating, so it is suited to demanding indoor areas and sheltered outdoor locations where dust and water spray are factors. It is not the higher-IP option in this family. Its temperature range of -55°C to +70°C supports use in unconditioned spaces.
