Overview

NPF-60-24 is the 24V output model of this series: rated current 2.5A, rated power 60W, typical efficiency 89%.

NPF-60 series is a 60W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual modes constant voltage and constant current output. NPF-60 operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +85℃ case temperature under free air convection. The entire series is rated with IP67 ingress protection level and is suitable to work for a variety of applications at dry, damp or wet locations.

Test conditions and notes11

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can the NPF-60-24 be mounted inside a sealed outdoor junction box?

Yes. The NPF-60-24 is IP67 approved on its own, so it is protected against dust and temporary water immersion. Inside a sealed box, keep its case temperature within the rated Tcase range of -40°C to +85°C and derate the load per the output load vs temperature curve.

Can I use the NPF-60-24 to drive 24V LED strip lighting in a commercial retail display?

The NPF-60-24 outputs 60W at 24V with a constant current of 2.5A, which supports 24V LED strip systems where total load stays within 60W. Its IP67 rating also makes it usable in display cases that may be exposed to occasional cleaning or moisture.

What certifications make the NPF-60-24 suitable for European projects?

The NPF-60-24 is approved to ENEC EN61347-1 / EN61347-2-13 and EN62384, and complies with EN55015, EN61000-3-2 Class C, EN61000-3-3 and EN61547 for EMC, plus EAC TP TC 004/020. As a component, EMC must be re-qualified on the final installation.

How many 24V LED modules can the NPF-60-24 support simultaneously?

The NPF-60-24 provides 60W total at 2.5A output current. The number of modules depends on each module’s wattage; for example, up to six 10W modules or three 20W modules can be driven, as long as the combined load does not exceed 60W and each module’s forward voltage falls within the CC range of 14.4–24V.
