ELG-200-36DA is the 36V output model of this series: rated current 5.55A, typical efficiency 92%.

ELG-200 series is a 200W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-200 operates from 100 ~ 305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-200 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

Test conditions and notes15

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

8. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Can the ELG-200-36DA be installed outdoors where it may be exposed to rain?

Yes. The ELG-200-36DA is rated IP67, protecting against water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. It is suitable for outdoor sign cabinets, exterior facade lighting, and landscape installations where direct rain contact is expected.

What makes the ELG-200-36DA different from other ELG-200-36 variants, and when should I choose it?

The DA suffix indicates a DALI dimming interface (IEC62386-101, 102) on the DA+/DA- leads, with 16 groups and 64 addresses. Unlike the A and AB types, it has no output potentiometer, and unlike the B type it does not take 0–10V/PWM/resistance signals. Choose it when the driver must participate in a DALI control network, with brightness set through DALI commands.

How much 36V LED strip can the ELG-200-36DA drive?

The driver outputs 199.8W at 5.55A. For a 36V strip rated at 20 W/m, you can run approximately 10 m per driver (199.8 W ÷ 20 W/m). For a 16 W/m strip, that extends to about 12.5 m. Always verify your strip's rated wattage per meter and apply a 10–20% derating margin.

Is the ELG-200-36DA suitable for LED lighting in a building with a DALI building management system?

Yes. The DALI interface allows the ELG-200-36DA to receive digital dimming commands from a DALI controller, making it compatible with commercial building automation and energy management systems. Light levels per circuit can be set through DALI during commissioning, with the first dimming step fixed at 8% of output.

Can the ELG-200-36DA handle cold-climate outdoor installations?

Yes. The case temperature range of -40°C to +90°C covers extreme cold, and the IP67 waterproof rating protects against rain and snow. This makes it appropriate for outdoor luminaires in cold regions where both DALI control and weather resistance are required.
