FAQ

What applications is this enclosure best suited for?

This Boxco S-Series enclosure is suited for protecting components in industrial, commercial, and outdoor equipment where a sealed plastic housing is needed. Its transparent cover also makes it useful when internal indicators or labels need to remain visible without opening the enclosure.

What are the key specifications of this Boxco S-Series enclosure?

This model measures 4.92 x 6.89 x 3.94 inches (125 x 175 x 100 mm) and is made from polycarbonate (PC). It has an IP67 rating, an IK08 impact rating, a transparent cover, a screw-type closure, and a listed weight of 0.5000 kg.

Is this enclosure suitable for outdoor or harsh environments?

Yes, this enclosure is designed for demanding environments thanks to its IP67 sealing and IK08 impact rating. It is also rated for temperatures from -40 °C to 110 °C, which supports use across a wide range of operating conditions.

What does the transparent cover add compared with an opaque enclosure?

The transparent cover allows visual inspection of internal components, labels, or status indicators without opening the enclosure. That can be an advantage in applications where quick checks are useful while still keeping the housing closed.

Does this model include any special base feature?

Yes, the product description states that this S-Series enclosure has a knock out base. That distinguishes it from enclosures that use a fully solid base design.

What type of closure does this enclosure use?

This model uses a screw-type cover design. That makes it a fit for buyers specifically looking for a screw-fastened plastic enclosure in the Boxco S-Series.
