FAQ

What applications is this Boxco P-Series plastic enclosure best suited for?

This enclosure is suited for protecting industrial controls, monitoring devices, and other electronics that need a sealed non-metallic housing. Its transparent cover makes it useful when visual inspection is needed without opening the box. The product description also highlights anti-static material and high impact resistance, which makes it a practical option for sensitive instruments in demanding environments.

Is this enclosure suitable for outdoor environments?

Yes, this model is designed for outdoor use. The description states that an ultraviolet stabilizer is added to help protect the enclosure outdoors, and the roof protection at both ends is intended to reduce water penetration during use. Its IP67 rating also indicates strong protection against dust and water ingress.

What level of protection does this enclosure provide?

This model is rated IP67 and IK08. That means it is built for strong dust and water resistance and also offers impact resistance appropriate for harsher industrial settings. The product description further notes a precision-injected gasket and high impact resistant material to support that performance.

What are the size and material details for this enclosure?

This Boxco P-Series enclosure measures 13.78 x 17.72 x 7.87 inches, which corresponds to 350 x 450 x 200 mm. It is made from PC material and includes a transparent cover. The listed product weight is 3.094 kg.

How does the transparent cover and hinged latch design help in use?

The transparent cover allows contents to be checked visually without opening the enclosure, which can be useful for inspection and status viewing. This model also uses a molded hinge and latch type design, and the description notes that the latch main part is stainless steel for strength while the hinge uses a stainless steel bearing to improve service life.

What temperature range can this enclosure handle?

This enclosure is specified for a temperature range from -40 C to 110 C. That makes it suitable for both cold and high-heat environments where standard housings may be less appropriate. Buyers should still confirm the full system requirements of their specific application against this enclosure range.

Does this enclosure support internal mounting hardware or accessories?

Yes, the description states that it includes pre-molded mounting screw nuts, which can be used for DIN rail or other equipment mounting. It also includes internal mounting plate attachment points with brass inserted injection molding for securing heavier installed equipment. These features make the enclosure more adaptable for organized internal layouts.
